Jeneil Williams to be inducted into Pulse Fashion & Beauty Hall of Fame at CFW 2013

A key highlight for CFW 2013 involves global supermodel Jeneil Williams, Jeneil was discovered, developed and introduced to the international model market by Pulse Fashion. It was clear from the very beginning that her’s was a special potential. Jeneil epitomized the unique beauty of Caribbeans of African descent.
Like Pulse forerunner Lois Samuels and Alec Wek before her, Jeneil was not the stereotypical or traditional beauty, usually seen on the world stage, something her manager Kingsley Cooper clearly understood. He recognized this fact at the start and, in introducing her to the international marketplace a year and a half later, decided that she would have to be marketed in a particular way.
Cooper personally took Williams to New York and, along with New York Model Management, a Pulse affiliate with whom she was placed in that city, framed a strategy for success. It immediately paid dividends. A week later, Williams shot her first campaign for Benetton. Two weeks after that, she shot her first international cover (and 28 pages) for Italian major BMM. At seventeen years old, Jeneil became Pulse and Jamaica’s hottest “new face” and was named world “Model of the Week” by Models.com, the bible of the international modelling industry.
Over the years Williams has earned a body of work that spans the most important clients in the international fashion industry, a sample of Jeneil’s work includes Jean Paul Gaultier spring/summer campaign, Vogue Germany editorial, Jimmy Choo campaign, Elle magazine editorial, Edun spring/summer campaign, The V Gentlewoman editorial, i-D cover, three times, Love cover, Fendi spring/summer runway, Vivienne Westwood spring/summer runway, Another Magazine editorial, Edun Film, Louis Vuitton spring/summer runway, and her most recent work with Jimmy Choo, Resort Lookbook.
Coming from very humble beginnings, the success of the former Vere Technical High School student has been an inspiration to many young women across Jamaica as well as the wider global community. On Thursday April 11 2013 now declared ‘Jeneil Day’ Jeneil who is now basesd in NYC returned home to Kingston Jamaica for a special homecoming and a whirlwind tour of her home town.
In June Jeneil will return home once again to be inducted into the Pulse, Fashion & Beauty Hall of Fame at Caribbean Fashionweek 2013.
